2017 Montessori Backyard Summer
Dear Summer Campers

Welcome to our Backyard Summer Camp. This year’s Summer Camp will be a little different from years past. In past years, we broke down our Camps week days with one day being Wet Day, another being Bike Day, Craft Day so on and so forth. This year we thought wouldn’t it be great to have all those wonderful activities in our DAILY Curriculum.
We are asking our families to provide us with a daily book bag containing extra clothes and bike helmet. This way anytime your child gets wet or rides a bike they are prepared to do so. This Book Bag with go back and forth daily so that the Bike Helmet is available at home as well as at Camp. Please remember to check your child’s Book Bag daily for any wet/dirty clothing and replace with a fresh set.
One question we are asked is about Sunscreen. State regulations do not allow us to apply sunscreen to each child so we ask that ALL AGE CHILDREN come to camp with sunscreen applied. If your child has completed Kindergarten – or above we will need an extra bottle of sunscreen for your child to reapply for outdoor activities in the afternoon.
Children who have completed Kindergarten or above will also need a daily journal, writing tool and dry ease marker. We will provide individual wipe off boards.
All Campers will need a packed lunch. Please remember it’s Summer Camp and we tend to eat outdoors often. Because we eat outdoors we will need parents to remember to pack all necessary lunch items such as utensils, non-leaking drink, and nutritional foods. The center will provide AM/PM snacks and additional water.
Thank You!! We are all looking forward to a WONDERFUL SUMMER!!
